Seppeltsfield Estate, in South Australia’s Barossa Valley, has completed a ‘grand slam’ of tourism achievements, after being named Australia’s Best Tourism Winery at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards on Friday.

The national 'Gold' award recognises the estate as Australia’s top tourism venue out of the winery, distillery and breweries category. This accolade comes just months after the estate won the Great Wine Capitals Best of Wine Tourism award for international excellence in wine tourism services.

Warren Randall, Seppeltsfield proprietor/executive chairman, said the award was "yet another milestone in Seppeltsfield’s golden decade and one in which the entire business can be proud".

The national acclaim has led Seppeltsfield - for the first time in 166 years of operation - to now hold regional, state, national and international tourism award endorsements in destination-based wine tourism.

The winery and tourism facilities at Seppeltsfield have undergone significant upgrades since 2009, through significant investment by its proprietors. Recent emphasis has been placed on a diversified wine and food tourism proposition, including an expansion of VIP experiences, guest immersions, new events and luxury product collaborations with partners such as Lalique crystal.
