Langhorne Creek: Australian Winemaker of the Year

4 August, 2017

South Australian Bleasdale Vineyards’ Paul Hotker has been named the James Halliday Winemaker of the Year.

Bleasdale Vineyards is based in Langhorne Creek. The region is known for its lighter styles, thanks to the cooler growing conditions.

Bleasdale are clearly doing something right, with a number of other accolades collected in the previous two years, where Mr Hotker won eight trophies from five separate shows in 2015, another five in 2016, the Bleasdale 2015 Wellington Road Grenache Shiraz, and two more for its Second Innings Malbec.

South Australia’s 2012 Henschke Hill of Grace was also named Wine of the Year by Halliday.
